BANKRUPTCY LAW
Gregory Turley has represented clients who file for
bankruptcy protection. He also offers legal counsel for
those considering filing bankruptcy
When a person files for bankruptcy, he can obtain two
significant benefits:
- The automatic stay against collection action. Often, a
significant factor in filing bankruptcy to stop enforced
collection action. Enforcement favors one creditor (the
active one) over another, when a benefit of bankruptcy law
is to equalize classes of creditors.
- The discharge of debts. Upon completion of the
bankruptcy, a person can obtain a discharge of a debt,
which prevents a debt from being collected in the future
by anyone. This usually occurs at the end of a case.
Gregory Turley also represents creditors in bankruptcy
cases. For example, if a persons has a lien prior to a
bankruptcy filing, that lien can be collectible by obtaining
relief from the automatic stay against collection. |
